Taking on new leadership responsibilities and managing a rapidly growing team spread across the country presented its own set of challenges. The BBC realised that their geographically dispersed teams were not getting to know each other well. Leaders needed to learn how to manage effectively amidst these dynamics. Additionally, the BBC aimed to help teams interact better and support other departments within the organisation to maintain healthy boundaries. An Annual Engagement Survey revealed that team members were not as engaged as anticipated, highlighting the need for improved interaction and support.
The BBC team turned to C-me to enhance self-awareness, foster mutual appreciation, and learn to function effectively as a cohesive unit. New leaders gained confidence and a better understanding of their leadership styles. The dispersed team used C-me to get to know each other meaningfully, gaining valuable insights into their collective behaviors. This process helped identify their strengths and areas for development, fostering a more unified and effective team.
